Dance provides powerful opportunities for multi-sensory learning using the whole body. Our Dance work is often a core activity at the heart of the curriculum linking and creating a relevant context for music, story, poetry, history, or any other area.
We have taken part in the Aldeburgh Productions TAG performance at Snape Maltings with the inspirational Michael Platt, Dance Advisor, culminating in a performance to a packed Wolsey Theatre, Ipswich.
The dance extract below is from our Wolsey Dance Project based on World War II, again directed by Michael Platt.

Dragon Dance – January 2012
The Dragon Dance was performed by reception to celebrate Chinese New Year, this year was the dragon so they did a Dragon Dance. They made two dragon costumes. Whilst they were performing their dance they handed out envelopes with chocolate coins in them. The story was about two Dragons who wanted the same cave, they both became very angry and started to fight over the cave then they both agreed that they would share the cave and they went to sleep. Everyone really liked the dance and they performed very well!
