Guardians

Almost ten years ago the Year 6 children brought up at Meeting the desire to take on more responsibilities within the school. This was welcomed by the community and possible names were suggested and voted on. From that time on, the Year 6s have been known as Guardians.

Each Year 6 automatically becomes a Guardian and is presented with a friendship bracelet, with which to be identified, at the first Meeting of each new academic year.

As well as being there for the younger children, volunteer for responsibilities such as running the weekly Community Meeting, doing lunchtime and playground duties, being responsible for various jobs round the school (sports monitors, register takers etc.) , as well as running lunch time clubs for the younger children.
